This is a very horrible method that risks damage to the motherboard and heat sinks. Just because it's easier and lets you be lazy doesn't mean that it's the proper way. Bending and compromising components of the heat pipe system may appear to be fine, but you end up with less cooling efficiency. This will result in the computer being forced to run less effectively because the cooling can't keep up as easily. Furthermore, the way he responds to other people correctly saying the same thing shows that he is not someone who learns from mistakes, takes constructive criticism, or admits his makes. Definitely not worth watching this channel.
Bruh you should AT LEAST plug out the battery from the board before touching the board with metallic objects, you could short out your entire fuckin computer! as others have said here, you shoulda taken the time to take the heatsink off, it sucks having to put on new paste, but it's better to do it properly than potentially destroying your PC
I am very happy that it is possible to replace the GPU and CPU fan. I think I will buy this Asus ROG G14 Ryzen 9 because I know there is a solution about the fan noise too loud for me.
Be careful to add the thermal paste on the CPU chip
Thank you from a Frenchy, but do you have the reference for GPU and CPU fans because the eBay page has disappeared, please?
sorry i couldent hear you over my fucking fan
I replaced the fan but the new fan sounds weird too, like its spinning too fast
The right way is removing all the head pipes
Thanks for the video. Although I understand using this method is very risky it worked out great for me!
If you cant bend the thingis here enough to get the fan out just smash it with a hammer a few times, it should be loose enough then.
i actually have a tuf a15 and the fan started getting loud figured it was worn because ive been using it to mine crypto. then all of a sudden it pulses off and on. this looks to be the exact same issue. i opened it up and verified it was pulsing on off. glad to know this isnt a mobo issue. i leave the laptop sitting on top of a huge house fan blowing into it and it keeps my temps at 50 to 60 degrees turbo. use it on a tv. without this solution it would run at 110 degrees
Mine Sounded Like This Right Out Of The Box. How could the barrings be worn?
This video is exactly why we need a dislike ratio, although the author tries their best this could quite literally ruin a laptop, destroying the heat sink and potentially other connectors. You should NOT ever bend or force the heat pipes, any bend or kink could destroy them causing a much more expensive repair. You need to remove the heat sink off both the CPU and GPU before attempting to replace the fans. Additionally you need to be careful of the display connectors and the WIFI connecters that run along the sides.
I've just recently removed the whole cooling assembly of the G14 and let me tell you. The way this dude removed the fans definitely damaged the heatpipes and compromised GPU/CPU to heatsink contact. That's NOT how you do that.
In my case, I am not sure if this problem was (is) from fan bearings, or from rubbing on the housing. Eventually, the noise I had went away after days of running at full speed.
I hope someone can answer me this question ♡♡, i just bought the G14 but it makes a little rattle noise for like a 1 second when the fans start spinning fast but then it stays working quietly and when the fans slow down it does that 1 seconds rattling again, it is normal because the fans start spinning for the first time and then they slow down? Or it should not do any rattling no matter the speed.
After replacing the fans, did the issue come back ?
thank you, i am now not going to buy this piece of shit laptop!
Is that tape important or can you go without
Do not listen to this video..
I did this myself and did not go well. I am suppose to replaced both the cpu and gpu fan at the same time and not bend anything. Now there is a short on my mother board and it is costing me 1500$ to replace the motherboard Professionally. I refuse to do this myself again.
this was so ghetto
My blanket accidentally pushed the top down hard and now it started making that noise so yayyy
