This sounds like a you problem not an us problem, not to mention i was training with my friend lol “training” basically just taging along on jobs and his employer tried to snatch me up as a worker after 2 months.

Whether you want to start your own business or work for someone its not about who you know like construction, trades, hospitality, medical, phama, politics and most other industies require you to know people but in IT its all about what you know and not who can crawl up the bosses ass quicker

Lovely Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you ever tried – Fiyiden Seyatthew Blaster (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good one off guide for starting a laptop repair business minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my cooworker at last got excellent success with it.

I like this guy, he reminded me of the loser who was selling options And gambled with company's money in Singapore and made the company lose everything. He lost and ask people not to open repair business lol.
Honestly, I didn't watch his video. Let me give suggestions to people that want to open repair business, first of all it won't be just computers repair, instead it will be computer, servers, smartphone repair, tv repair, monitor repair, sboxes, and anything that has a motherboard in it I can fix it nommatter what it is. They all have resistors diodes fuses etc… And they all work the same way.
Learn to repair motherboards and then you can repair anything that comes up to your mind. Even casino machines. Computer repair business is not just about foating PC's and puting windows or repairing data, but it's about changing components on the motherboards. That's where the money is.
Yes, you can repair TV's just like a computer, you can even repair car computer 😄.
Guys be positive and don't listen to losers that put you down. We need positive fellas.

its like tv's, tvs arent going anywhere, cos all the old people have them, the young people watch youtube and download their series within hours of them being released,. but there will always be older generations at least for a few more years yet, that have computers, etc. look at the chain shops, they all selling computers, if you dont want to fix the hardware, work on fixing all the shit and viruses thats on peoples computers.

Computer repair shops primarily make their money by telling you your computer isn't worth fixing and selling you a new one.

bruh….. it sounds like you got bit in the ass. but just cuz you failed or didnt make it doesnt mean EVERYONE ELSE will fail. how about instead of being so negative, you post up about the mistakes or short comings you had. or maybe ideas to help some one who does want to try. what worked for you.

    what do mean?
I started my own remote it/computer repair business when I was 16 by posting ads everywhere leaving business cards at electronics stores and using internet marketing firms to call people after 4 months I earned over 6 thousand dollars doing about 4 hours a day
all I paid into it was 12 dollars for Vistaprint cards and 500 dollars for a second phone
if I was able to make 400-800 dollars a day
doing computer repair at 16 with my desktop, laptop and a razor headset
    I think anyone can
don't discourage others not to do something you weren't able to do

Don’t listen to him I started my business three years ago and it’s been super successful! Just because he failed doesn’t mean you will. Yes it takes a lot of work and you need to know your market and competition. I work 25 hours a week and make 6 figures a year. If you are passionate about doing what you love go for it. Just be smart and do the work.

Relatively recently, I had a dream that I could start a computer repair business. A couple weeks later, I had a dream that if I listed all of the things I learned in high school that employers would hire me for a decent job. Well I know with the second dream that the joke is on me, because employers merely laugh at high school. I suspect that the first dream is also "a false hope", but I can't be sure. What does everyone else think?

Another thing this guy lacks is perspective. Each market and area is unique. When i lived in the state capital, because of the large state university and computer science majors I did not do well providing IT services. But when I moved to a smaller city I did significantly better. How well you market yourself makes a huge difference as well. Not to mention also being relatable to customers makes a big difference as well. If you are Roy or Moss from the IT crowd, you are going to lose customers. There are too many factors to say you will not succeed in a business. Time is another factor. How much time did he give himself to build clientele. There is too much information missing from this video. As far as any analysis goes it is definitely a D-. This guy really should not be working for himself in any capacity, and should just find a job working for others. He really does not seem to understand the fundamentals of running his own business at all. Based on this video any business he endeavors in will fail.

backing up and wiping computers is the quickest way to fix 80% of problems. if you charge so much for such a job that they feel like they need to get another computer then your doing something wrong. i charge at least 50% below any store charging 100s for stupid easy jobs and i take less than a couple of hours to complete most jobs. been a great side business during the past 4 years of my life, and i work from home

If you live in an area where the competition is basically non-existent, you should start a buisness like that. If you do low prices then even more guys are asking you to fix their PC's, the more you fix the more you will learn.
