It has VOLTAGE on both leads. Not current. You can’t have current if they’re not connected. Terminology matters. Especially when you’re teaching troubleshooting. Mix up voltage and current and you’ll destroy your meter.

Great helpful video. How did you get those pins back in the board that you used the wood block to remove? Did you just tap them in?

Thanks for this very informative video.
I just purchased a used identical stove and found out that the Front Left eye or burner does not turn on when the knob is turned to an on position. how do I test the controller behind the knob and the heating element itself, etc? I think it is probably the knob controller but would like to verify it before purchasing a new one.

Thanks for posting this. These control boards are no longer available so I had to repair mine. Same issue, bake element didn't work. It ended up being a bad solder joint. Here is how I fixed it. https://youtu.be/y38yCq6xgQQ

Sites and videos like this, are the downfall of this country. By putting videos like this on the internet, you are destroying businesses. anyone reading this, bear in mind, you will pay a lot more for your elements than what a dealer will, and you will not get a warranty with your repair. So it could cost you more in the end. Plus, just because your oven is not heating, is not always due to your element. Just some free advice to hopefully save you money.

Rich, my electric oven kept tripping the ELCB when it warms up; do you think the problem is due to the heating element.

PART 2–Hi again–Could a faulty sensor cause both elements to completely not work? The cord is nice and tightly screwed, but when I took off the back of the stove, the sensor is bent at the metal area. The model number is FEF326FQ if that helps, is now discontinued, and it was only about $400.00 bec there's no self-cleaning. Thank you!

Thank you for your video! It's very good! I have a Frigidaire electric stove I've had it for only 3 years and really haven't used it all that much. Suddenly, neither the broiler element, (which I've never used) or the baking element are going on. The top burners and panel w the time are working perfectly. In fact, when I put it on to bake, I can hear the "clicks" as though it's heating up, but both elements stay cold. Why do you think that BOTH the baking & broiler elements are not working? Thx

THAT SWITCH LOOKS LIKE A 110V RELAY WHICH SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AT AN ELECTRONICS STORE AND WOULD PROBABLY ENTAIL SOME SOLDERING TO REPLACE BUT LESS EXPENSIVE THAN AN ECB MODULE

do not check for 220 volts the way he is showing…… hook the wires back up to the element and then turn on the oven and put your leads on the two wires and check to see if you have voltage of 220 v if you do it the way he is showing and you hit the wires and it shorts out on the stove you could get hurt or blow a hole into your stove

I believe the stove uses both elements to get the oven up to temperature.

just wondering as you can't remove just the switch that is bad on that board if your in a financial pinch can you switch the wires down at the elements as i generally use only the lower element to cook to allow the upper element switch to operate the lower element?
