Just bought a pair of these and am totally blown away. The sounds are really vibrant. Super clear. Just make sure you do these speakers justice and pair them with a quality avr.

looks like i wasn't clear enough about my question .My question is for the ENERGY TAKE CLASSICS not for the RCimini !!!!! Unless if they have the same size terminal connectors .

The spring'post terminals on the RCMicros will accept up to 15 AWG wire. If you have 14 AWG, you'll likely need to add some pin connectors. HTH!–Crutchfield

Also I have some 14 gauge wires left over from my previous system . Will a 14 gauge audio wire fit on the speakers miniature 5-way binding post ?

Hi there, Can I buy them with my DENON AVR 1612? Will they be doing justice to the DENON 1612 AVR?

The AVR-1912 is last year’s model. The current version (AVR-1913) is a great value and the most affordable Denon with 7.1 capability. The AVR-2313CI is two steps up (AVR-2113CI in between) from the 1913 and offers more power, a 3 year warranty (the 1913 has 2 years), Dual HDMI outputs, and dual subwoofer pre-amp outputs. So, they are both great models. The best one is the model that best suits your specific requirements. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030–Crutchfield

I often match these systems with the Denon AVR-1713 and the Sony STR-DN1030 (current model) receivers. There are others that can work and the best choice will depend on the sources you have and things you need the receiver to do (other than just powering the speakers). They compare very well. Both systems offer excellent performance and clarity for the money. The Mirage offers greater sound dispersion while the Energy's offer greater imaging. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030–Crutchfield

@mrdiaz0108 There are receivers which output too much power for these speakers, but the Sony STR-K502P does not output too much power so it will work.

@mrdiaz0108 If by “Bose” you mean the Acoustimass 5.1 systems, I wouldn’t say the Energy speakers are quite as good but at less than half the cost, they offer excellent performance for the money. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030–Crutchfield

@mrdiaz0108 Absolutely. Assuming your will be powering them with a quality home theater receiver/amplifier, these speakers will offer excellent performance for almost any source. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030–Crutchfield

@arnoldgd84 If your Sony receiver is a standard 5.1 model and did not come packaged with proprietary speakers/cables, it will likely work very well with the Energy Take Classic speaker system. Feel free to call us directly to be sure the products will be a good match: 800.315.0030–Crutchfield

@mbenzsl2000 thanks again for the assistance.

Yeah, you pretty much nailed it, I use my computer for pc gaming, music, watching movies, streaming tv, just about everything and my living room is usually occupied by my parents/brothers so there's no point in going for a living room set-up since I pretty much do everything on my LG 23 inch 1080p monitor

I heard about Onkyo receivers in the past, are they still well regarded? I thought of that logitech, but i would like something that's real 5.1
