Our kitchen design has a cabinet between the sink and the dishwasher. I assume we will have to run the plumbing and electrical lines inside the back of the cabinet? The cabinets back up to a pony wall. Any advice?

Is is normal that every time my new dishwasher drains, I can hear and see the water draining if I look down my kitchen sink drain?

Would have liked to see the holes in the cabinet – how to drill them and where to put them… But the rest was good :)

They once again only showed the easy part of the process.  Determining the best place for the dishwasher, removing the proper dimension of cabinets, and the demolition and prep for the opening can present the most difficulty.  Also there are a multitude of plumbing situations one could face… TOH took the easiest situation.  No surprise…

Why doesn't the sink drain have a water trap for sewer gas?
