the unplugging of the keyboard was not clear,, I broke mine,, now a simple fix gone wrong….

My HP Touchsmart wont charge or power on even with a full battery from a working laptop. Do you think it could still possibly be my power jack or motherboard?

I wrote a comment to you last night, but don't see it here now. The next video may have started playing and don't know enough about YouTube to know if that would have made a difference, but really, really wanted to say thank you! The first several videos I watched were clearly not made to make me feel like "I could do it" without already knowing a bit about fixing computers, and seemed more to me to try to make it seem to complicated, so that I'll not want to try it, and then… low and behold.. a message on the screen saying how I could reach them and the cost for the repair. I was about to give up when I found yours, and so, so grateful. BTW, since you didn't have the replacement jack when you did the video, and didn't actually remove the one we saw, am I correct to hope that the screws you pointed out to be holding the jack in place after disconnecting the ribbon, that this style DOES NOT use Solder, so I won't need to remove and re-solder the new one in? I have an HP G62 which looks very similar to what you worked on…Thanks so much again,Sam (Samantha)
OR UNPLUG IT AND PLUG BACK IN AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS
ITS MOST 90% YOUR KEYBOARD, I WOULD BUY ONE OFF EBAY AND REPLACE THERE ARE 2 SCREWS THAT HOLD IT IN PLACE, ONE IS BEHIND THE V KEY AND ONE BEHIND THE 0 AND P KEYS YOULL HAVE TO OPEN THE LAPTOP UP JUST FOLLOW THE VIDEO AND TAKE THE SCREWS OUT AND YOU WILL BE FINE.
backspace, t, y, g,h, have stopped working. I don't know why, they worked again for a moment when I went offline then quit. Any ideas? What can I use to clean/fix this problem?
