Thank you, I finally found where MSI hid the flashlight … even though it wasn't marked in the video, I'm almost sure that the video has a section that resembles a battery on a board. :))))))) (But to replace her, it will be for the layman to work for the whole weekend …)

Great Video! If you are reading I recommend also to clean old thermal paste out of CPU and GPU and use new one when you put laptop back together. I think they are assuming you know that for a fact

I have this same laptop. It had been sitting for about five months not being used when my wife decided she wanted to start using it cause she wanted to utilize the lighted keyboard for he school work at night. I did a clean install of windows. Downloaded all the drivers and software from the MSI website. One of the things I downloaded I suppose I didn't need because when I ran it I had an option of doing a autoflash or manual flash. I selected auto. It got half way through what it was doing and then the fan ramped up, the laptop froze and about a minute later windows informed of an error. The screen went black…the laptop sat there and then turned off. Now when I press the power button nothing happens at all. I took the battery out and placed it back and have reinserted the power supply cord several times and nothing. No light on the front bottom and it does absolutely nothing like it is dead. Any ideas as to what happened. I know it was not a bios flash.

My warranty expired on this laptop – so instead of having to pay an extra $100+ on sending it to the manufacturer for parts and labour… I bought the part I needed on amazon for $8.82 and repaired it myself. Thank you for this, I was able to save a lot money. <3

I have an MSI GT60 with an SSD and two mechanical HDD. I've gotten the SSD and one of the HDD out. I'm assuming the second HDD is in a caddy where the optical drive is. Would I need to follow the same instructions in order to remove it, as if I did have an optical drive?

Thank you vary much for posting this video!
I was able to take my computer apart, clean it, and I hope fix my problem as well.

My computer was not booting, and was putting me in the boot directory every time I turned it on. After cleaning it, and all the connections up, then putting it back together it seams to be working good now!

    Thanks again!
