My computer runs on Windows Vista and is on a constant Start up Repair loop. I can't access anything. I even get the blue screen of death. I'm looking at it right now. I can't type in anything in command prompt. I'm going to have just throw away my laptop. I'm done with anything Windows.

I have a hp probook with Windows 10 and it's stuck in a loop where everytime I turn it on it turns off and all I can really do is press f9 but then it seems I can't really fix anything by booting it up, but I used the diagnostics and it said there is something wrong with the hard drive?
    How do I fix this

I tried that on Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit and it didn’t fixed the infinite startup repair loop, it only started happened after I updated windows but I only did the optional so I guess one of those updates messed the os up

I’m reinstalling windows again and not select the optional ones instead to see what happens

It works. Notice that sometimes in the command prompt, Windows might be located in D: (instead of C: drive). In that case, you'd have to move to D: and then run the commands.

After diagnosing the Laptop after hours, it boots into Advanced Options Menu, the moment I click any of the options for recovery the entire laptop freezes/locks up and goes black and then enters repair again. This was a fresh install of Win 8.1 too. So is it an hardware issue or motherboard issue?

I have an e-machine with windows 7 but NO DISC. Can I purchase a windows 7 disc and follow your instruction to "repair" not "replace" to fix my "boot loop"? My hard drive spins and appears to be ok. I just can't get out of this boot loop and I have material I need to access off this machine, because I failed to follow the golden rule BACK UP MY STUFF!

    I love you, man!!
I fixed my computer that was dead (NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM and FAT_FILE_SYSTEM error in infinite loop) for a few months following your steps.
But to reach the command prompt I used the system recovery pressing esc before startup, because mine was restarting before I reach the repair menu on the USB drive.
I have an HP Envy dv4.
Perfect!! Thanks a lot!! I hope everybody with the same problem see your video, because even the HP and Microsoft support could not fix it.
