Surface Electric Oven Range stop working – Repair Replace GE Glass top Haliant Heating Element

Just did this job, on the same model range, as it happens, and your video was an excellent roadmap. (Made even better without inane background music.) Many thanks. Only thing I'll add for those considering this repair is that the replacement burner (large) costs way more than we'd expect for such low-tech equipment. (Local appliance shop: $160.) I bought a used burner from Ebay that doesn't inspire confidence, but it's half the price, it's working and it has a 30-day guarantee along with the 1-year additional warranty I paid $6 for. If it lasts a year, it might go five, who knows maybe even ten. Meanwhile, I see why mine didn't work (an open in the corrugated wire), and I think it's fixable. Thanks again for your video, DIY Tinker. EDIT: One other thing, I don't see the benefit of pulling the stove out from the wall. Easier, for me anyway, to just kill power at the circuit breaker box.

Another video i can use for my stove, remember how easy it was just to slide the burner out and slide in new one? one thing i miss about the old stoves. But videos like this do help

Hi there, I am wondering if you would be able to help me locate the Lock/Unlock door motor assembly for my General electric stove. I have tried all the trouble shooting possible to get my oven door to unlock after the self cleaning cycle was interrupted. From all I have read, I have to remove the unlock door motor and manually reset it by turning it 180 degrees after manually pressing the open oven door rod. However, I cannot locate this on the back panel of my stove. Here is a link to the video of my filming this stove. Any ideas where I need to start. Thanks for your consideration.
