Immersion circulator is the best thing I have ever purchased, I make yogurt with it and saved huge amount of money thanks to it, I also use it for pickling vegetables.

Just to use the instant pot for bone broth is ridiculous sorry not worth it for me less I had money to waste. Easier to buy it at the store too lol

If you think the Kitchenaide isn't necessary for Keto, you haven't done the PSMF bread yet. It seems a lot of keto people are thankful for that recipe. While a Kitchenaide mixer isn't "required" to make it, it's nice to have or you're stuck standing there a long time waiting to get big stiff peaks.(I'm currently 2nd guessing whether I should submit this comment) I mean the egg whites!

Crock Pot we use a lot. Wife made a pork roast with sauerkraut the other day. Just let it run over night and it's done in the morning. If you use the Crock Pot liners there is no mess to clean.

I have a Blendtec blender that is pretty good, but I also have a Nutri Ninja Pro that I like for smoothies, because you can blend it and take off the blades and screw on a top and drink it right out of the blender pitcher.

Hi Matt & Megs, I love your videos! You are showing the Instant Pot and what you use it for. I use mine for hard boiled eggs, steel cut oatmeal, and my favorite use for it is GREEK YOGURT. I'm surprised you don't use yours for that. It is so easy, all it takes is: 1 Full Fat 52 oz Fairlife Ultra Filtered Milk, 2 Tbsp plain greek yogurt that has the antibodies. You can sweeten it with Eagle brand Sweetened condensed milk, but only use 1/4 can, and it must be Eagle Brand as I've tried Carnation and it was completely different taste. You can either close the lid as usual or if you have the glass lid you can use that. The unit has a button for yogurt and it takes 8 hours. I love it and so do my neighbors and family I share it with. I make it back to back so I always have some and also keep fruit on hand to eat with it. I hope you will try it. IF YOU MAKE IT HERE IS AN IMPORTANT STEP: Pour only about 4" of milk into the pot, then add the 2 Tbsp yogurt and using a whisk utensil mix it fast for about 30-45 seconds to let the yogurt dissolve completely, or else you have these little flecks of unbroken yogurt in your final product. I hope anyone who reads this will give it a try, and I, on the other hand have never used my Instant Pot for Bone Broth but will give that a try.

Thanks for the video, useful and entertaining as usual.

I'd say my top 2 cooking appliances are the VitaMix and the Blackstone Grill with builtin Air Fryers.

I've had the VitaMix for many years but it was sitting idle lately. I decided it was time to start eating healthy and Keto was a natural follow on to my early Atkins diet days. Protein shakes and blended veggie drinks are my primary use but I finally used the soup making capabilities the other day and made a Keto Cauliflower soup.

As far as the Blackstone, it's really a griddle which seamed weird until I realized I was having to replace our rusted out grills on a frequent basis. Once I figured out how to season the cooktop (like a cast iron skillet) it's been a marvel. I've done steaks, burgers, garlic chicken rice (real rice until I started Keto then cauliflower rice) and a bunch more. But it's the air fryers that surprised me. I thought I might use them occasionally and the grill more but it turned out it to be the opposite. Now, rather than buying chicken wings we make them. Sad looking day old chicken (fried or baked) comes out newly cooked. And any and all air fryer recipes my wife can find are done there. If you do decide to look into it 1) the AirFryer version is specific to Walmart and 2) I suggest you check out the WALTWINS YouTube channel (I'm not associated with them, I just like them). A ton of good Blackstone info and recipes there.

    1. Instapot: they are amazing. You’re just not using it right. Learn how to use it and you’ll love it and use it all the time.

    2. Traeger grill: again, you’re not using it right. I know people that have it as their only grill and they love it and you can sear steaks very hot or you can slow cook barbecue. You don’t know how to use it. Learn how to use it!

    3. Sous vide/Joule: oh my God! Seriously? No! You don’t put your meat and vegetables into the water. You put it inside of a vacuum sealed bag. 75 home you don’t want the meat or vegetables in contact with the water so it makes them soggy. That’s why you can’y sear your steak as good after you put it on the grill. Search YouTube for Sous Vide videos and learn how to properly use it. Get a vacuum sealer and put your meat and vegetables in those bags and seal them before cooking.

    4. Vitamix: you’re not gonna use a vita mix for something a small blender like a magic bullet or a food processor will do. That’s not what it’s designed for. Again, you’re not using it the right way. Learn how to use it and you will love it. You can actually make soup in a Vitamix.

I highly recommend you guys get a Magic Bullet. They are super fast super simple super easy and they are for small things and you guys would use it all the time! I use it all the time to mix up my eggs before I scramble them.

And you would probably find that you love a small traditional food processor. Not a big one. A small one.

    5. Cast iron: cast iron is old school and it’s one of the best ways to cook. It gets very hot and it cooks evenly. Take care of cast-iron pots and pans and they will last forever!

You guys have great equipment! You just don’t know how to use it! Yeah they don’t know how to use it are you using it for the wrong things. Have you not read the manuals? They all come with books that show how to use them and recipes. Or you can watch videos online. Learn how to use your equipment and you will love it! But you have to use it for what it was designed for. Don’t try and make it do something it wasn’t designed to do. That’s why people make their biggest mistakes and I hate the equipment and blame the equipment. It’s not the equipment fault. It’s a you problem!

Seeing this years later, but if you haven’t gotten an air fryer yet, I cannot recommend them enough – they cook burgers, fish, chicken, pretty much anything perfectly. Air fried salmon was what sold me, I rarely use anything else now.

We have a pellet grill and love it! We just slide the shield over that is on top of the ignitor ( on the floor of the grill). That gives us great direct heat for steaks and hamburgers. We use the indirect shielded heat for brisket etc. -yours should so the same?

If you keep your cast iron well seasoned you should be able to make anything including omelettes. The key is well seasoned and the right heat. You don’t need tons of fat for that to happen either. I cook sunny side up eggs with hardly no grease and they don’t stick.
